Antibes Yacht Show Provides Guaranteed Wireless Services with Any-Port
Antibes, France (PRWEB) April 17, 2008 -- Following on from their successful trials in 2007, Any-Port are proud to be the providers of all of the internet services at the 2008 Antibes Yacht Show, from 17-20th April at Port Vauban, Antibes (http://www.antibesyachtshow.com).
The success of the inaugural show in 2007 has led to a vastly expanded event this year, with twice as many yachts and many more exhibitors making the AYS one of the most important shows on the calendar and the first of the new season in Europe.
Following the success of their pilot programme in 2007, Any-Port are this year expanding their involvement too. In addition to providing internet services to the organisers and yachts, Any-Port is also providing all internet services for the press, VIPs and, of course, their own internet café, which, this year, will provide not only comfortable, lounge-type furniture, but also a coffee and wine bar, with tastings of wines from different regions every day.
Co-Founder Craig Boddington said he was "delighted" with the expanded involvement. "Last year we proved we can provide the most reliable internet service on the Riviera" he continued, "this year, we're doing it bigger, better and in far more places than before - look out for further announcements later in the week of new transmitters in all your favourite spots".
Any-Port is the only provider of wireless broadband internet services that uses next-generation wireless technology specifically designed for the harsh, outdoor, marine environment. Their (WiMax) technology is far superior to existing WiFi, 3G and satellite systems which are often unreliable in the congested ports that typify the Mediterranean Riviera.
Craig's business partner, Brian Adamson added "After the failed promises of WiFi, many yacht owners / managers were reluctant to commit to something which seemed to answer all their problems. The fact is, WiFi was never designed to provide coverage in open spaces, and never will (at least, reliably), whereas we use technology designed to provide wireless coverage to whole cities.
That is why we are the ONLY provider to guarantee our connections and the only true provider of unlimited services, with no charges for either time connected or bandwidth except for our standard monthly fee; Including ("and check this out with other services", he said) NO roaming fees for clients cruising between Spain, France, Monaco and Italy - reason enough for anyone who has experienced a ?5,000+ bill for their inferior 3G service to think again.
See Any-Port at stand V1 at the AYS 2008 and join Craig and his colleauges for a glass of wine and to see how internet access on yachts could be and should be.
Any-Port is a leading provider of wireless broadband internet services on the French, Italian and Spanish Rivieras. For further information visit http://www.any-port.com or call 0(+33)4 93 33 27 11
