Brigham Young University?Idaho Selects Jenzabar's ERP, Internet Portal and Non-Traditional Systems
Boston (Vocus) April 14, 2008 -- Jenzabar®, Inc. (www.jenzabar.net), a leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education, announced today that Brigham Young University?Idaho (BYU?Idaho) has selected Jenzabar's Total Campus Management? solution, including Jenzabar CX, Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution (JICS) and the Jenzabar Non-Traditional System (Jenzabar NTS). The school chose Jenzabar CX for its flexibility and movement to an open architecture.
Prior to the purchase of Jenzabar's Total Campus Management solutions, BYU?Idaho has been running on a homegrown system and saw a need to continue expanding the school's technology infrastructure to an ERP solution that could provide greater efficiency and would be extensible to an open system. In addition, BYU ? Idaho was looking for some additional functionality that will support the University mission of enhancing the quality of student experience.
In choosing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendor, BYU?Idaho was looking for a partner to meet their unique needs and challenges. BYU?Idaho selected Jenzabar after learning about the company?s commitment to partnership with client institutions and its direct focus on aligning technology with customer goals and missions. BYU?Idaho was equally impressed that Jenzabar was moving Jenzabar CX to a more open architecture, which would allow them to seamlessly integrate other vendor products with Jenzabar solutions in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
A progressive architecture, the Jenzabar CX ERP system delivers an efficient, highly flexible, and current foundation for administrative functions. Jenzabar CX is offered on a UNIX® platform with a Java?-based interface. The solution allows administrative and academic staff to access, update, store, and report on crucial data through a common database and a complete suite of end-to-end, fully integrated modules. Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution, a portal solution designed exclusively for higher education, will provide Brigham Young University?Idaho with a single point of access to a virtually limitless number of communications, Web services, community building, and e-learning applications.
Additionally, the Jenzabar non-traditional solution will help BYU?Idaho respond to the growth of online students, adult learners and other non-traditional students as a means to streamline business processes and increase level of service. Jenzabar NTS is a flexible, scalable, full-featured administrative solution specifically developed to manage the unique challenges of continuing education, degree completion, certificate, and other non-traditional programs.
"One of our most important goals in looking for a technology provider was to enter into a partnership that is directed at meeting our individual institutional challenges," says Spalding Jugganaikloo, Chief Technology Officer at Brigham Young University?Idaho. "We chose Jenzabar because we did not just want to be customers but needed to know that our technology provider would address our unique goals and challenges."
