Projector Online Software That Turns the Ordinary Projector Into a Wireless Projector

(PRWEB) March 10, 2008 -- Stepok Image Lab. recently released its new product Projector Online 1.0 based on its screen compression technology. After installing the product on the computer connected to projector, you can easily upgrade the projector into a network wireless projector.

The traditional projector receives demonstration signals through VGA cable when it is used for demonstration in a meeting room. When the user needs to switch to computer, he must switch the VGA cable to the output port of the new computer. This switching operation is not only troublesome, but also very unstable due to the different resolution settings and different types of display card in different computers. Currently, the mainstream manufacturers are actively promoting the wireless projector, which can help the enterprises to get rid of the trouble of VGA cable routing and switching; however, the users are required to purchase extra hardware and thus their expenses are increased. Is it possible to convert the existing projector into a wireless projector at the minimal cost? Projector Online is the answer to such a need.

Normally, the projector in a meeting room is connected with a computer in default. At the meeting, the speaker uses his own computer or copies the demonstration files onto the computer in default. Now, Projector Online takes advantage of the computer in default connected to the projector. By installing and configuring the server in the computer, any users within the local area network, whether connected via the traditional 10M/100M network card or 802.11b/g 11M/54M wireless network card, can project their screen onto the curtain easily through the network by using a 130K thin client that need no installation. Not only the screen, but also the audio including microphone or computer speaker (if your sound driver supports) can be transmitted to the projector.

With the unique SSCV2 compressed encoding technology, Projector Online can guarantee nearly lossless quality of projection and minimal use of band-width. The high compression rate of screen demonstration of SSCV2 enables the average band-width used to be no more than 0.5 Mbps. It can guarantee sufficient speed of projection even with the 11M 802.11b wireless connection with weak signals. The fully optimized encoder can transmit the screen of 1024x768 mainstream resolutions at a speed of 25 frames per second (*) on the dual-core laptop. *Tested for Power Point or Flash demonstration files.

Projector Online is licensed to each computer connected to the projector at a price of only USD 49.00 with one year's upgrading service. "We will continue to take advantage of our software and launch advanced functions such as many-to-one projection and meeting recording in the future upgrading," the developer, Chen Qi of Projector Online, said. You can get a 20 percent discount if you purchase it before May 1. Additional information on the product, as well as its 31-day evaluation copy is available from http://www.screen-record.com/.
