Internet T-Shirt Retailer Takes on an Elephant of a Cause

Houston, Texas (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- ClothMoth Clothing + Kindness, a designer and online retailer of humorous t-shirts announced today it's first in a series of charitable donations to The Elephant Sanctuary, a Tennessee-based refuge for endangered elephants.

The Elephant Sanctuary currently provides more than 2700 protected acres of natural- habitat environment for Asian and African elephants. Prior to making the Elephant Sanctuary their home, many of the resident elephants spent their entire lives in captivity for human entertainment at zoos and circuses.

"The vast amount of energy and resources that the Elephant Sanctuary founders and staff have put into increasing the quality of life for these wonderful animals is amazing," said Joshua Merritt, founder of ClothMoth Clothing. "I feel an enormous sense of urgency to be a part of it, no matter how small."

"We're a very young company. Our contribution to the Elephant Sanctuary represents an insignificant dent in the amount of money they need to execute their mission of providing permanent shelter to 100 elephants", said Merritt.
